Maryville University of Saint Louis, College of Health Professions. Department of Physical Therapy. 2016-2017 (Ongoing)

• Co-President of Maryville University Physical Therapy Club
• Maryville Representative for the Missouri Student Special Interest Group
• PT PALs Mentorship Program
• Competed in cross country and track and field for Maryville University for 5 years, Team Captain from 2016-2017.

I feel honored to have been nominated for this award by my professors. My professors at Maryville University have always encouraged me to pursue my professional goals and have instilled in me a passion for advocacy as well. This year I am helping to coordinate a Student Advocacy Dinner at my school, and I look forward to attending MPTA Lobby Day as well to advocate our profession to legislators. I believe that as students we have a strong voice, and it is our responsibility to advocate for our profession because we are the future of physical therapy.
