(2/2021) II. President-Elect: The President-Elect shall be elected at the spring meeting every 3rd year (e.g. 2019, 2022, 2025, etc.). The elected person shall serve in this capacity for one full year, and, shall then assume the office of President at the close of the spring meeting which concludes the one year term of President-Elect. A. General Duties - The President-Elect shall in every way possible, observe the office and function of President in preparation for assuming that office. B. Specific Duties: 1. The President-Elect shall attend APTA Missouri Executive and/or Board of Directors meetings. Attendance is as that of an observer. Although he/she may speak to issues, etc., the President-Elect may not vote. 2. The President-Elect may perform functions for the Association and/or Board as directed by these membership bodies. Each delegated task must be specifically delineated, and should be assigned for a prescribed time period. C. Reports: N/A D. Expenditures/Budget: 1. Any approved expenses for attendance at Board of Directors meetings should be submitted to the treasurer on the appropriate form for reimbursement. 2. Budget for President-Elect should be prepared and submitted as requested by the treasurer (approximately September 15th). |
