Chuck Gulas
A Board Certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist, Chuck has 35 years experience in physical therapy in a variety of different care settings. Currently he is Dean, Myrtle E and Earl E Walker College of Health Professions, and Professor of Physical Therapy at Maryville University, where he joined the faculty in 1999. He earned his PhD in Higher Education Administration at Saint Louis University in 2005. He also earned a Master’s in Education from Maryville University, and a Physical Therapy degree from The Ohio State University. Gulas is active in the American Physical Therapy Association and has served on the APTA Panel on Practice, as President of the Missouri Chapter, Vision Task Force and Chair of the APTA Committee on Cultural Competence. He has been a Delegate to the APTA House of Delegates twelve times. In 1998 Chuck was recognized by the Section on Geriatrics as the recipient of the Clinical Excellence in Geriatrics Award and in 2005 was awarded the Missouri Chapter Outstanding Service Award. Gulas was honored by the Eastern District of the MPTA in 2007 with the Helen Holzum Whalen Service Award.
