Rule Change - TOEFL Examination Requirements
Emergency rules became effective on August 5, 2015 that amended the rules for applicants who have not previously demonstrated a proficiency in the English language. The previous rule stated that if an applicant was "from a country in which the predominate language is not English" the applicant was required to take and pass the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) examination. The emergency rule changes this by requiring only applicants who did not attend a physical therapy program in the United States or a foreign program where the instruction was done in English to take the TOEFL examination. Pending Change to Verification of Licensure
Effective October 1st, 2015, the Missouri State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts will no longer be generating licensure verifications to be sent to licensees or the general public. In the future, please utilize the Licensee Search function on our website for primary source verification.
