Morning Block
Evaluation and treatment of the Vestibular Patient - 4 hours (8am - 12pm)
Presenter: Shari Kicker
Course Objectives
- Understand the anatomy and physiology of the Vestibular System.
- Understand pathophysiology and differential diagnoses of Vestibular System.
- Perform basic examination for the patient with complaint of dizziness.
- Perform tests treatment for Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV).
Speaker Info: Shari Kicker, PT has worked at Capitol Region Medical Center HealthPlex in Jefferson City since 2011. She graduated from the University of Missouri – Columbia in 2001 with a Master of Physical Therapy Degree. In 2017, she received her Certificate in Vestibular Rehabilitation. Shari specializes in vestibular balance, rehabilitation, manual therapy, and orthopedic rehabilitation.

Functional Rehabilitation of the Shoulder

Course Objectives
- Review of pertinent neural, ligamentous, and muscular anatomy
- To gain a better clinical insight to the evaluation and treatment of the shoulder patient
- Learn new treatment and manual activities
- Learn to get the most out of your protocol
Speaker Info: Wendell "Wendy" Nall received his bachelor of science in physical therapy from University Missouri in 1995. He specializes in sports medicine and general orthopedics. He wrote a continuing education program used by HealthSouth about the adolescent spine. He also published a review on the biomechanics of the lumbar spine as well as publishing an article on customer service. He also served as the director of cardiac rehabilitation and wellness supervising to full-time nurses and for PRN nurses specializing in phase 2 cardiac rehabilitation. During his time at Moberly Regional Medical Center, Wendy also developed a sports medicine outreach program that covered high schools, a community college, and an area Christian college. Recently Wendy returned to private practice in Moberly with Peak Sport and Spine.
