Luke Mayer

I am honored to serve as APTA MO's Treasurer and grateful for this opportunity to serve the association. Through previous experience as one of Washington University’s MSSIG representatives, I collaborated with peers enrolled in PT/PTA programs throughout the state to strengthen the special interest group, raise funding for student-led advocacy efforts, and to increase student interaction between programs. As a past participant in lobbying efforts, I’ve met with legislators to foster relationships and gather support for bills impacting our profession. I wholeheartedly believe in the importance of grassroots advocacy/involvement and in relationship building among our colleagues and state legislators to advance our practice.

I have a strong desire to see our state association grow not only in numbers, but also in participation. Involvement sets the foundation for action which ultimately leads to change. I’m thankful for an opportunity to serve in a role that will support efforts to prompt action and change.
