May 2018 Student Spotlight

"The Best way to predict your Future is to create it."

Abraham Lincoln, 16th President of the United States

The MPTA places tremendous value on our student members. The student members of today will become the future leaders of our organization. Our student members are truly creating their own future; at a very early stage in their careers they see the value in their professional organization.

Each month the MPTA will place a spotlight on one of our tremendous student physical therapists or student physical therapist assistants. Please contact Sylvia Czuppon, MPTA Social Media Chair, if you would like to recommend a student for our Spotlight page.

PT Interest:

My PT interest has grown since starting the DPT program and I have yet to decide exactly where my career interest fall within the field. My top priority in finding my path is to be able to grow a relationship with patients. I strongly believe in the role we play in not only the physical, but also the emotional rehabilitation for our patients and hope to find a population that I can support with a holistic approach. My top interest currently are Neuro and Sports Rehab. I cannot wait to further my clinical experience and fine tune my path.

Other:

I am elated to be nominated by my professors for the MPTA Student Spotlight. Recently, I have become involved in the MSSIG which has grown my interested in becoming involved in our profession. I love the opportunity to share with my peers about different topics that come through our profession including the legal issues, service opportunities, and educational resources. I am excited to continue my involvement in the MSSIG and our mission to reach out to students to help the MPTA and PT profession grow.
