MPTA December Student Spotlight

"The Best way to predict your Future is to create it."

Abraham Lincoln, 16th President of the United States

The MPTA places tremendous value on our student members. The student members of today will become the future leaders of our organization. Our student members are truly creating their own future; at a very early stage in their careers they see the value in their profressional organization.

Each month the MPTA will place a spotlight on one of our tremendous student physical therapists or student physical therapist assistants. Please contact Sylvia Czuppon, MPTA Social Media Chair, if you would like to recommend a student for our Spotlight page.

I attended East Central College in Union, MO on a volleyball scholarship.  While at ECC received many volleyball awards, one of them being named 2nd team All American. After 2 years of general education courses, I transfered into the Athletic Training program at Central Methodist University.  At CMU I finished out my 2 years of volleyball eligibility where I received the NAIA Scholar Athlete.  After my eligibility was used up, I helped coach while I finished out my degree.  I graduated from CMU in December 2012 with Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and became a Certified & Licensed Athletic Trainer in Jan 2013. From there I began working for Peak Sport & Spine (formerly Peak Performance) until August of 2015 when I began the PTA Program at State Technical College of MO.  While attending class I have continued to work part time for Peak Sport & Spine.
