MPTA October Student Spotlight
Share |

"The Best way to predict your Future is to create it."

Abraham Lincoln, 16th President of the United States

The MPTA places tremendous value on our student members. The student members of today will become the future leaders of our organization. Our student members are truly creating their own future; at a very early stage in their careers they see the value in their profressional organization.

Each month the MPTA will place a spotlight on one of our tremendous student physical therapists or student physical therapist assistants. Please contact Sylvia Czuppon, MPTA Social Media Chair, if you would like to recommend a student for our Spotlight page.

The October Student Spotlight Shines on

Brett Stuppy!

The MPTA would like to recognize Brett for his academic achievements at Maryville University as well as his  desire to expand his knowledge outside of the classroom through networking and interacting with clinicians and students in the physical therapy profession.

There is only one U. This is the motto branded throughout Maryville University campus. Over the past six years at Maryville University, I reflect on the education and learning opportunities I have encountered in and out of the classroom. My greatest education was not discovered in a textbook or lecture; my greatest qualities were learned through conferences, clinical experiences, service opportunities, interacting with faculty, advocating and networking with fellow students and clinicians in the physical therapy field. Students nationwide receive similar educational content and sit for the same licensure exam but Maryville allowed me opportunities to identify and shape myself into the clinician I have become and will continue to develop in a continually revolving field. As I prepare to complete my studies and step out into the real world, I’m not sure where life is going to take me. What I do know is that the life skills I have instilled within me from my education from Maryville University will allow me to accept the challenges that write my future.
