Course Objectives

At this interactive training, you will learn:

  • The science behind mindfulness and meditation.
  • The practices of meditation and mindfulness.
  • The relationship between stress, mindfulness, and performance.
  • How to notice how the mind works in day-to-day experiences — and how noticing those patterns can decrease stress.
  • How mindfulness and meditation can help improve interactions with
    patients, students, and in personal relationships.
  • How practicing purposeful attention and responding can increase
    feelings like wellness and decrease feelings like anxiety.

Who should attend: This course is geared toward physical and occupational therapists, physical and occupational therapy assistants, and speech language pathologists.
