The Missouri Student Special Interest Group is about bringing students together to participate in networking and educational growth. As a physical therapy student, our primary goal is to learn how to make a difference in our patient’s lives. In order to accomplish this goal MSSIG, as part of the MPTA, is committed to providing events and opportunities for students to grow and succeed with their passion for the profession!

Date: EVERY YEAR, THE MPTA LOBBY DAY WILL BE HELD THE FOURTH TUESDAY IN FEBRUARY! This allows you to mark your schedule well in advance and plan to attend this important event.

MSSIG Update
The Missouri Student Special Interest Group is planning a great time for students to help celebrate the 60th Anniversary of MPTA during the Spring meeting at Lake of the Ozarks. We are currently planning a social event with a panel of special guests followed by a student reception on Friday night from 8 – 10 pm. MSSIG will be hosting a panel discussion for all students to come and ask newly graduated Physical Therapists questions such as, ÓWhat is the best way to study for the board exam?Ô to ÓWhat are some tips for landing that dream job after graduationÔ. There will be food and drinks with some fun door prizes while getting to meet fellow PT and PTA students from across Missouri. Join one and all in celebrating Friday 8 – 10 pm with MSSIG while getting all those burning questions answered. Hope to see you April 17, 2009!
