Future Meetings:
Our next meeting will be Thursday,
Janurary 19th @ Dexter BBQ in Cape Girardeau.
Dennis Riney PT will be speaking on diagnosis and
treatment of labral tears of the hip. The March
meeting will be Thursday, March 16th @ Healthpoint
Plaza in Cape Girardeau. This will be a special
meeting with a statewide sponsored teleconference
on direct access. Future meetings will take place
May 18th, September 21, and November 16th. Please
note all meetings will take place at 6:30 pm and
are on the 3rd Thursday of the month.
Upcoming activities:
Tentative Southeast District
sponsored continuing education course in late summer,
early fall with Dora Partridge PT. Course content
will cover manual therapy of the shoulder. This
will likely be a one day course and will cover
great information for the orthopedic therapist.

finalized.
Other upcoming activities beneficial to Southeast
District members will be a course sponsored by
Southeast Missouri Hospital in March in cooperation
with the International Academy of Orthopedic Medicine
(IAOM). This will be a 3 day course in Cape Girardeau
covering primary disc and S.I. joint disorders
of the lumbar spine.
Northwestern District
The goal of the Northwest District is to engage as many persons in our profession
in a worthwhile,learning experience in order to advance and investigate our Professional
duties. We officially meet 6-7 times a year for an educational evening offering
CEUs and a brief business meeting. We welcome APTA members and non-members, physical
therapist and physical therapy assistants. As a District we are always open to
ideas, discussion and learning opportunities for our constituents.
